Our Employee’s Journey with Wellube – CIRILO ABOBO DELA CRUZ

In every journey, there are certain moments that shape us, transform us, and lead us to the path of success. Let us walk through the employee journey of Mr. Cirilo Abobo Dela Cruz from the UAE team, whose been with Wellube for more than 16 years now.

What was your initial position in the company as well as the year when you joined? And your current position now?

I started my journey in Wellube as a Technician 16 years ago. My most recent position change was earlier this year, as I got promoted to the role of Service Engineer. I was promoted to this new role due to the successful completion of all the projects I have worked on and my interaction with clients from different locations.

Can you describe a challenge you faced early on and how you’ve grown to overcome similar challenges now.

During my early years, the extreme heat and change of climate were the initial difficulties that I faced as well as familiarizing with the machines that I will be using on my job, which were not similar to the ones in the Philippines. However, as time passed by and through the help of training provided by Wellube I was able to learn how to properly use the machines, and I am proud to say that I can now operate all the machines we are using in our projects.

Share a specific project/achievement you are proud of that you have accomplished at Wellube.  How did you evolve as a person from your initial days and now?

There is no specific project however, being an employee of Wellube, the knowledge and skills I gained from this company is the one of the major turning points of my life. In addition to this, I was able to support my family financially.

How would you describe the company’s culture and work environment during your early years compared to the present day?

Wellube’s culture and work environment has been great over the years since I joined the company. A lot of focus is given when it comes to enhancing our skills and employees concern remains the same specially when it comes to giving salary. They give employees salary on time even during tough times (pandemic COVID-19).

Is there any advice you want to give to the new employees or to your colleagues? (If yes, what is it?)

To all my colleagues, never lose hope. For as long as we are here at Unique Wellube, we can achieve our dream of becoming successful. With our perseverance, hard work, and teamwork, it will lead to success.

Can you share some significant milestones or events that have shaped your growth during your time in Wellube?

Being able to efficiently operate all the machines we use in our projects as well as getting promoted from Technician to Service Engineer are my significant milestones as employee of Wellube. It’s a fulfilment not just to my career however, also with my personal growth.
