Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years related experience to fabrication or manufacturing in oil and gas industries (i.e. piping, pressure vessels)
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.1)

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Support Project Team to prepare project quality plan. 
  • Prepare inspection & Test Plan and checklists based on specifications of the project. 
  • Perform inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of fabrication and services required in the approved drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed ON and OFF site.
  • Maintain QA/QC documents including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents. 
  • Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering services relating to Mechanical discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations.
  • Checking for all quality related procedures ON and OFF site and ensures activities are as per Company Procedures and approved Quality Plan/Method Statement and Inspection & Test Plan.
  • Coordinates inspection and meeting about quality problems including the closure of Non-Conformance Reports. Responsible for the closure of Non-conformances, NCRs and Site Instructions.
  • Assists as necessary the Engineering department in the evaluation and correction of specific quality control problems and issues.
  • Reports all activities related to monitoring and controlling of the Quality Management System (QMS) to the Quality Manager. 
  • Review the Material Technical Data Sheet; Liaise with the Project Engineer for submission of material submittals to Customer/Consultant.
  • Perform Internal Audit ON or OFF site.
  • Assist in setting Quality Objectives and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
  • Prepares QA/QC reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data, making recommendations.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensure that Non-Conformance Report (NCR) are raised once the activities deviated from the Contract Specifications.
  • Manage the continuous Quality training, assessment of the staff.
  • Maintain the Quality file system.
