Wellube wins pivotal contracts in the Middle East

Wellube has recently been awarded several call-off contracts for On-Line Leak Sealing, Hot Tapping, and On-Site Machining Services in the Middle East. Two of these contracts are with ZADCO and Dolphin Energy Limited.

Sahil Gandhi, Executive Director of the Wellube commented, “Since its inception, Wellube is widely recognized in the region for providing Wellube products and specialized engineering services to major oil and gas, petrochemical, utility and other industries. The newly secured contracts will enable Wellube and clients to sustain a long term business relationship. We attribute our high success rate and quick project turnaround time to the extensive number of umbrella contracts we have today.”

ZADCO was established to develop and operate one of the largest oil fields in the world – the Upper Zakum field. The development of the Upper Zakum reservoirs is considered a major technical achievement in Abu Dhabi. In addition to Upper Zakum, ZADCO also operates the Umm Al Dalkh and Satah fields, where crude oil is pumped via main oil lines to Zirku Island, located 140 km north-west of Abu Dhabi, for further processing, storage, and export. With its advanced oil and gas installations, the island is a leading industrial base for processing, storage, and export of oil from the aforementioned fields. Wellube has secured a three-year contract with a possible two-year extension.

Dolphin Energy Limited was established by the government of Abu Dhabi in 1999 to implement the Dolphin Gas Project and link Qatar, UAE, and Oman in a unique and strategic energy initiative. In 2007, Dolphin Energy started gas production at the onshore facilities in Ras Laffan, Qatar. The company is involved at every stage of the gas value chain – production of raw gas at the wellhead, processing onshore, removal of valuable by-products, the transmission of natural gas by export pipeline to the UAE, and subsequent distribution to customers across the UAE and to Oman. Since operations began in 2007, the company has produced more than 6 trillion standard cubic feet of natural gas and recorded 100% plant availability for the seventh consecutive year. The Project is a well-established, reliable, and safe provider of clean energy for the southern Gulf. Wellube has secured a four-year contract with a possible one-year extension.
